Senior Rally auditions
Were graciously bodacious today! I’m so glad to take the initiative to do the last rally of the year. MY YEAR. Johnny, terry & I were practicing for our two shows this month and I love how quick we are able to execute our acts. We’re doing a medley for tomorrow, May 18th, @ washington high school. We are also doing a cover for Senior Rally on june 1st ( i think its june 1st)
here’s the weird part…
After Johnny & I auditioned, Ms Butcher asked us if we are able, if possible, and if within our schedule, to be a part of the Food Truck Event & perform a couple of songs there on May 31st. Woooooh! It’s amazing, really, that i’d get the chance to perform so much these past couple months.
So far, I have:
May 18th: Interact Area 4/5 charity dinner @Washington high school
May 31st: Food Truck Event @ MHS
June 1st: Senior rally? during MHS schoolday, and right after school, Key Club Gala Night @ American High School
I’m actually half doubting johnny terry & I got into Senior rally. I mean.. there were alot of acts, and they have to fit senior rally within 2 hours. Either way, I’m glad to have the opportunity to audition.
I can’t wait for more surprises to be lunged at me. I am loving my progress over the years, and I am loving that I am able to end my year with music. <3
So… this happened again. I wasn’t planning on doing it, but it was suggested by two or three people and when I found lyrics for the song on korrasexual’s blog, I realized that it had to be done! I changed the lyrics from the original post a good bit to fit the structure of the actual Disney song, but the general backbone of it was already great! So much love for this song and these Korra-themed lyrics — The Little Mermaid has always been one of my favorite Disney movies! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed singing it!

My daily routines feel pretty atypical without you.
I don’t even feel like doing anything today. Is it senioritis, or is it something else? I look back a couple of weeks, and thought about doing stuff I normally do, but stopped, and it just makes me pretty sad. Pretty sad. Maybe I just didn’t get what I wanted in the end. Maybe I’ve just been expecting too much. Maybe I’ve had too much fun and too “in the moment” for my own good. Having your IM Tab on my window with nothing to say. Looking at our timestamps, hours passed since we last said.

What? Come together for a fun evening of performances by local talents and YouTube sensation JENI (Jenny Suk), exciting raffles, and delicious food! All proceeds from our dinner will be going to Interact District 5170’s 2011-2012 International Project, Free The Youth.

Free The Youth benefits two separate organizations: Mary’s Meals and the Firelight Foundation. Mary’s Meals provides daily meals to chronically hungry children in their local schools in Africa. The Firelight Foundation funds local organizations in Africa that want to help make their communities strong, targeting areas such as education, psychosocial support, nutrition, healthcare, and children’s rights.
